Suppose someone was born on June 15, 1990, and today is January 20, 2025:
- Years: 2025 - 1990 = 35, but the birthday has not occurred yet, so 34
- Months since last birthday (June 2024): July through January = 7 months
- Days: 20 days into January
- Age: 34 years, 7 months, 20 days
